1. Information we collect
We collect information you provide or create while using Make Effects, including:
- account details supplied through sign-in, such as your name and email address;
- spaces, prompts, uploads, generated media, recipes, lineage, and collaboration activity;
- billing status and transaction references from our billing provider;
- provider credentials you choose to connect, stored in encrypted form; and
- technical data such as IP address, browser, device, request logs, and usage events.
2. How we use information
We use information to:
- authenticate users and provide the workspace, CLI, MCP, and generation features;
- store, deliver, synchronize, and organize project media and collaboration state;
- measure usage, process billing, enforce quotas, and prevent abuse;
- maintain security, diagnose failures, and improve reliability; and
- communicate about accounts, service changes, and support requests.
3. AI processing and service providers
We send the prompts, media, settings, and related context needed to complete your request to the AI provider selected for that workflow. We also use service providers for cloud hosting and storage, authentication, billing, communications, and security. They may process information only to provide their services to us and under their own applicable terms and privacy commitments.
4. When we share information
We share information with collaborators you authorize, with the providers needed to operate the service, when required by law, or when necessary to protect users, rights, and service integrity. We may also transfer information as part of a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets. We do not sell personal information.
5. Retention
We retain account and project information while your account is active and as needed to provide the service. Deleting an account or project starts removal from active systems, subject to limited retention for backups, security, fraud prevention, billing records, dispute resolution, and legal obligations.
6. Security
We use technical and organizational safeguards designed to protect information, including access controls and encryption for stored provider credentials. No system is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
7. Your choices and rights
You can review or update profile information, manage connected provider keys, remove project content, and delete your account through the service. Depending on where you live, you may also have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, or export personal information and to object to certain processing.

8. Cookies and local storage
Make Effects uses cookies and browser storage needed for authentication, security, navigation, and interface preferences. Blocking required storage may prevent parts of the service from working.
9. Children and international processing
Make Effects is not directed to children under 13. Information may be processed in countries other than your own, where data protection laws may differ. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for international transfers.
10. Changes
We may update this policy as the service changes. We will post revisions here, update the date above, and provide reasonable notice when a change materially affects how we handle personal information.
